With five locations in Massachusetts, including four beautiful interior design showrooms, and a comprehensive selection of Benjamin Moore paint and sundries, Babel’s has been proud to serve homeowners and contractors alike for generations.

But did you know that Babel’s is now part of the National Lumber Family of Companies? Although ownership has changed, Babel’s continues to operate as usual with the same products, same services, and the same knowledgeable and friendly staff. After searching for over two years to find the right company to take over Babel’s operations, Vic Babel has described National Lumber as “a great company to continue the Babel’s legacy”.

Also a family owned and operated business, National Lumber was founded in 1934 by Morris Kaitz. Today his grandchildren, Margie Kaitz Seligman and Steven Kaitz, continue to grow the company their family started over 80 years ago.

National Lumber has become the largest and best independent distributor of building materials in New England by earning their customers’ business one transaction at a time. With the addition of Babel’s Paint & Decorating to the National Lumber Family of Companies, not only will you continue to get the same great service and knowledge from Benjamin Moore paint experts and the interior design staff, but the convenience of eight more Benjamin Moore locations across New England.

National Lumber has six locations in Massachusetts: Newton, Mansfield, New Bedford, Salem, Berlin, and Gardner; one in Boscawen, New Hampshire, Oxford Lumber in Oxford, Connecticut and National Building Products in Warwick, Rhode Island.
